How to measure your wig size
How to Measure Your Wig Size
This guide will help you accurately measure your head for either a ready-to-wear wig or a custom-made wig.
Before you begin:
-
Flatten your natural hair as much as possible
-
Use a soft measuring tape
-
Measure so the tape fits comfortably around your head, without pulling it too tight.
Measuring for a Ready-to-Wear Wig
For a ready-to-wear wig, only the head circumference is required.
How to Measure:
-
Start at the centre of your forehead
-
Take the tape around your head, passing above the ears
-
Continue to the nape of the neck, then back to the starting point
-
Ensure the tape sits over the ears, not on them
Standard Wig Sizes:
-
Small / Petite: 52–54 cm
-
Standard / Average: 54–56 cm
-
Large: 57–60 cm
Most ready-to-wear wigs are designed to fit the average size.
Measuring for a Custom-Made Wig
Custom wigs require detailed measurements to ensure a perfect fit.
Please follow the step-by-step measurement instructions shown in the reference image/video, which typically include:
-
Head circumference
-
Front (forehead) to nape
-
Ear to ear (across the forehead)
-
Temple to temple
-
Nape of the neck
